Evolution Management, Inc. (EMI), a fast-paced management consulting firm located in Marietta, Georgia (East Cobb), is currently searching for a well rounded Organization Effectiveness Consultant with significant consulting and business development experience. Consulting experience must be in the area of human resource management and/or organization development.  The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit and passion for new business development, as well as consulting.  EMI delivers a wide range of business solutions to small, medium, Fortune 500 and 1000 businesses and government agencies. 

Position Summary:

This position is responsible and accountable for providing a wide breadth and depth of professional level consultative support and thought leadership to EMI clients in the areas of management, human resources (HR) and organization development (OD).  This position assertively seeks and follows up on leads that will evolve into new business opportunities. 

Primary consulting responsibilities are carried out by utilizing any combination of assessing, developing, implementing, executing and evaluating programs, processes, initiatives, strategies and/or interventions customized to the unique needs of the client.  Business development responsibilities include networking and cold calling to continuously identifying opportunities to introduce our firm and our past performances to potential clients and those who might know of other businesses that may need our services. 

Focus areas vary by consultants’ area of expertise and clients’ needs.  Consultants may be assigned to multiple client projects at one time. Consultants may collaborate with others as a part of teams to support the delivery of world class client service.

Successful Candidates Will Possess and Have Successfully Demonstrated: 

  • Demonstrated success in prospecting and identifying potential opportunities

  • Strong aptitude for perseverance
  • Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to identify trends, variances and significant factors that will influence short- and long-term financial and business goals
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, including utilizing appropriate spelling, grammar, language and tone when communicating
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills that promote consulting and working successfully with various levels of management as well as with staff, customers and vendors to achieve mutual goals
  • Ability to design and facilitate OD interventions
  • Experience with variety of OD interventions at the individual, small group, large group and whole system levels
  • Knowledge of self and ability to use self as an intervention
  • Expertise in human resource policies, practices and regulations
  • Proficiency in interpreting and explaining employment law
  • Knowledge of and experience with leadership and team development
  • Training design, development & delivery
  • Ability to research and creatively resolve issues in a win/win manner
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work activities that promote meeting deadlines and company expectations
  • Well-developed knowledge of computer systems, software and applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Project Management skills enabling development of project plans, coordinating changes and following project through to completion
  • Flexibility and comfort with working in a fast-paced, high energy environment

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 12 to 15 years relevant experience.  Relevant experience includes but is not limited to:
    • External consulting experience
    • Organization development
    • Training and development
    • Human resource management
    • Business management experience in large firm
    • Executive and management coaching
    • Process consultation
    • Marketing and/or sales experience
  • Four year degree in business, psychology, human resources or applicable field
  • Master’s degree in organization development, industrial/organizational psychology, business, human resources, organization behavior, organization learning or applicable field
  • High standard of ethics and integrity; ability to competently handle responsibilities
  • Computer literacy including word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, databases, email software and applications
  • Strong analytical skills and aptitude for math and numbers in order to proof documents, research and develop proposals
  •  Demonstrated skills and abilities to use communications, interpersonal and problem solving skills to achieve personal, organization and client goals
  • Ability to stay focused and productive in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to multi-task and continuously re-prioritize functions daily and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work productivity with a moderate level of work-related stress and continuous and/or changing deadlines
  • Ability to travel, generally no more than 10%

The Organization Effectiveness Consultant position is an integral component to the success of EMI.  Therefore, engagement for this position is generally required during normal business hours, usually 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday. However, since project deadlines and momentum often dictate work hours; this position has more leeway to work an adjustable schedule.  Expectations are that this position will work 40-50 hours a week, depending on project needs.  As appropriate, consultants may work remotely from a home office that meets EMI home office standards.
